Tanat Valley Travel have just purchased this Mercedes Benz Tourino 30 Seat Executive Coach. Based on the border of Powys and Shropshire near Oswestry, the company has bought the vehicle to upgrade it’s midicoach fleet. The company operates a mixture of buses and coaches serving the Welsh border towns in the area. This little coach will displace an older Sitcar Beluga bodied Vario which we will be advertising on their behalf in the near future. The coach was supplied by MNE Transport based in West London near White City.
We have just handed over this 53 Seat Volvo B12M Plaxton Paragon from Redline Travel in Preston to Souls Coaches of Olney, Buckinghamshire. Not a bad achievement considering we only advertised it 10 days ago. It is going to be used predominantly on work for local schools and is ideal thanks to having a ZF Fully Automatic Gearbox and Inswing Door. We have recently completed our most Northerly sale to date. We supplied this Mercedes Benz Atego 1524L Unvi Touring GT 41 Seat Midicoach to Lochs Motor Transport on the Isle of Lewis off the North west Coast of Scotland. Whilst they are known for regularly buying new full size Plaxton coaches they identified a need for a smaller size coach to access the more rural areas of the island. The vehicle was supplied from the Reay’s Coaches fleet of Wigton, Cumbria and is fitted with 41 half leather seats and has huge luggage space to assist with the work the company does with visiting cruise ships. It was collected from Reays by Roddy MacDonald, director of Lochs Motor Transport and driven directly to Ullappol and on to the ferry to Lewis. We have just supplied Linburg Touring of Sheffield with one of these Van Hool TX15 Alicron 49 Seat Executive Coaches from the Reay’s fleet in Wigton, Cumbria. With the ULEZ in London going live next month and numerous cities in the UK proposing Clean Air Zones, John Hadaway at Linburg Touring recognised the requirement to add another Euro 6 compliant coach to his predominantly Van Hool fleet and this fits the bill perfectly. The coach was collected from Reays premises and went straight down to Windermere to pick a group up so it’s already out earning. Good Luck to John and his team at Linburg with their new addition.
We made it 3 out of 3 for Brit Coaches of Stourbridge in the West Midlands yesterday with this 2011 Mercedes Benz Tourismo 51 seat executive coach from the Westbus fleet in Hayes, Middlesex. This is the third vehicle we have supplied to Malik and Sahra, the previous 2 being another Tourismo and a 22 seat Mercedes Benz Sprinter from Travelmaster in Greater Manchester. We always say that our job here at Odyssey Coach Sales is not to supply a coach but to supply, or at least have the opportunity to supply all your coaches. Today we handed over this 2003 Volvo B12M Plaxton Paragon to Barnard Castle Coaches. Following recent contract wins in North Yorkshire they found themselves with a requirement for additional vehicles. Being a ZF Automatic with the added benefit of an in swing door this Volvo is ideal for the job, plus the flat floor layout of the Plaxton body lends itself to be upseated later in life. The coach was supplied by GPD Travel of Heywood, Lancs and our photograph shows Wayne Taylor of Barnard Castle Coaches collecting the coach from Darren in the February sunshine.
We have sold yet another immaculate little coach on behalf of Express of Batley. This time it was this pristine Euro 6 compliant Mercedes Sprinter 0.516 CDi with bodywork by Paramount Coachworks. This low mileage minicoach was supplied with a brand new MOT and is equipped with 19 Kiel reclining seats trimmed in half leather, 3 point seat belts, wood effect flooring, and air conditioning. It isn’t the first vehicle Shiel Coaches, who are based in Fort William, have purchased from Express which made the decision to purchase another an easy one. You may remember that earlier in the year we sold an Optare Solo to Luke Fripp and Hayley Cooper to convert into the Treat Truck, a mobile dessert parlour for use at various events such as food festivals, carnivals, and shows. Well the conversion is complete and here is a photograph of the Solo before, and the finished article as The Treat Truck. A deal that was concluded whilst I’ve been away was the sale of this 84 Seat Scania K114 Berkhof Axial 100 Double Deck Executive Coach from Thandi Travel in the West Midlands to Vision Coaches in Widnes. The main attractions for the guys from Vision was the high capacity, driveline, and recently re-trimmed interior. Also having Haydock Commercials Scania Dealership and Coach Specialist on their doorstep also influenced the decision. The intention is to use this coach to upgrade from seat belted double deck buses therefore enabling longer distance hires with large numbers to be completed in one vehicle rather than two. We recently sold this 53 Seat Volvo B12B Jonckheere Mistral 50 on behalf of Sam’s Travel from Airdrie, Scotland to Jaff’s Coaches from Dungannon, Co. Tyrone in Northern Ireland. The coach is fitted with 53 Fainsa Seats with 3 Point Seat Belts, WC, Boiler, Fridge, and is Air Conditioned. Ironically this coach started life in Southern Ireland in 2005 prior to being imported to the UK in 2009.
