We have recently handed this immaculate 33 Seat Mercedes Vario 0.816d Plaxton Cheetah to ALM Travel of Hemel Hempstead. The vehicle was collected from the premises of Express of Batley, West Yorkshire and is of the usual high standard expected from this small operator. The coach has 33 Reclining Seats, Euroliner Wheeltrims, is fitted with Air Conditioning, and finished in Silver. Taken to Holyhead Docks yesterday was this 2013 BMC Karisma 35 Seat Midicoach which is heading for The Harris Group in Dublin for onward sale in the Irish Republic. This vehicle was sold on behalf of Llew Jones Coaches in Llanrwst, North Wales. This is an excellent little bus for Harris Group stock being fitted with a Cummins Engine & ZF Auto Gearbox. It has under 200,000 kms on the clock and has a very good pedigree having previously been owned by Yelloway and Roy McCarthy Coaches. Bakers Dolphin Coaches of Weston-Super-Mare have today collected 3 2002 Volvo B12M Plaxton Paragon 70 Seat Coaches. These particular vehicles started life as front line touring coaches for Wallace Arnoldprior to passing to Reay’s Coaches where they were converted to 70 Seat School Coaches. Ideally suited to this role due to their in-swing doors, no frills tubular steel mirrors, and flat floors the vehicles are going to work on recently gained contract work following the cessation of trading of neighbouring local companies Coombes and Crosville. The vehicles were collected from Reay’s Wigton, Cumbria premises earlier today for the journey south to Somerset.
Today sees completion of our first Trans-Continental sale. Pictured above prior to leaving Preston for Southampton is this 1999 Scania L94 Irizar Century which has been sold on behalf of Redline Travel Ltd to Zakaria Airbus in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. From Southampton the Coach will spend around a month at sea prior to arriving in Mombasa, Kenya for the short journey over the border into Tanzania. Seen with Darren is Deo who is related to Brian Zakaria the proprietor of Zakaria Airbus.
This week saw me deliver this King Long XMQ6127 49 Seat Executive Coach to Liverpool Docks in preparation for a new life in Ireland. Seen here on the Dock Side prior to shipping the coach has been taken for stock by our friends at Harris Group in Dublin. Hopefully she’ll find a new home very soon.
