Today we handed over this 2003 Volvo B12M Plaxton Paragon to Barnard Castle Coaches. Following recent contract wins in North Yorkshire they found themselves with a requirement for additional vehicles. Being a ZF Automatic with the added benefit of an in swing door this Volvo is ideal for the job, plus the flat floor layout of the Plaxton body lends itself to be upseated later in life. The coach was supplied by GPD Travel of Heywood, Lancs and our photograph shows Wayne Taylor of Barnard Castle Coaches collecting the coach from Darren in the February sunshine.
We have sold yet another immaculate little coach on behalf of Express of Batley. This time it was this pristine Euro 6 compliant Mercedes Sprinter 0.516 CDi with bodywork by Paramount Coachworks. This low mileage minicoach was supplied with a brand new MOT and is equipped with 19 Kiel reclining seats trimmed in half leather, 3 point seat belts, wood effect flooring, and air conditioning. It isn’t the first vehicle Shiel Coaches, who are based in Fort William, have purchased from Express which made the decision to purchase another an easy one. Thanks to Shiel Coaches for their business, we wish them luck with their new purchase. Also thanks to the guys at Express for their continued support and putting their faith in us to sell their vehicles on their behalf.
You may remember that earlier in the year we sold an Optare Solo to Luke Fripp and Hayley Cooper to convert into the Treat Truck, a mobile dessert parlour for use at various events such as food festivals, carnivals, and shows. Well the conversion is complete and here is a photograph of the Solo before, and the finished article as The Treat Truck. Good luck to Luke and Hayley with their new venture and hopefully we’ll stumble across when we’re out and about it.
A deal that was concluded whilst I’ve been away was the sale of this 84 Seat Scania K114 Berkhof Axial 100 Double Deck Executive Coach from Thandi Travel in the West Midlands to Vision Coaches in Widnes. The main attractions for the guys from Vision was the high capacity, driveline, and recently re-trimmed interior. Also having Haydock Commercials Scania Dealership and Coach Specialist on their doorstep also influenced the decision. The intention is to use this coach to upgrade from seat belted double deck buses therefore enabling longer distance hires with large numbers to be completed in one vehicle rather than two. Good Luck with to Vision Coaches with their new purchase.
We recently sold this 53 Seat Volvo B12B Jonckheere Mistral 50 on behalf of Sam’s Travel from Airdrie, Scotland to Jaff’s Coaches from Dungannon, Co. Tyrone in Northern Ireland. The coach is fitted with 53 Fainsa Seats with 3 Point Seat Belts, WC, Boiler, Fridge, and is Air Conditioned. Ironically this coach started life in Southern Ireland in 2005 prior to being imported to the UK in 2009. Thanks to Sam Greene and his team at Sam’s Travel for delivering the vehicle to Cairnryan port, and to Enda Daly at Jaff’s Coaches for his valued business.
Seen following collection from GB Coaches in Manchester is this pair of Scania Irizar PBs which were about to head off for Cairnryan following a hearty breakfast for the team from Causeway Coaches at Olive’s Caff! Once back in Co. Antrim they will settle down with Enis and his team at Causeway Coaches and hopefully give as good a service there as they have over the past few years for Dave and his team at GB. This sale completes a hat trick of collections this week for Odyssey Coach Sales.
When Steve Keats found himself in need of a back up vehicle for his small fleet of coaches in Sheffield he looked no further than Odyssey Coach Sales. We found the ideal vehicle in the good old reliable Volvo B10M Plaxton combination. Still going strong after 23 years is this Premiere 350 which benefits from a capacity of 57 seats and a ZF automatic gearbox. Steve drove up to County Durham from Sheffield, inspected the coach, and took it away the same afternoon, job done. Remember at Odyssey Coach Sales whether you’re spending £3,000 or £300,000 your business is equally important to us and we will try our absolute utmost to find a vehicle to suit your needs.
One of our first sales of 2019 is this 15m Volvo B12BT 71 Seat Plaxton Panther from Regency Coaches in Lewes, East Sussex. The vehicle has passed to DESI Coaches of Watford. This sale has been a little bit protracted as Nilesh at DESI had a requirement for a high capacity coach but didn’t have the yard space to accommodate such a beast. They have recently moved to a new site in Watford which has allowed them to move forward with their purchase. Hopefully the new purchase will allow them to grow their expanding business and the new premises will allow further expansion. Good luck guys and………………………………………watch those back corners!
